We’re all consumers but are you a content creator?
OnBase and other Enterprise Information Management systems are great at consuming documents. They scan, archive and manage content through their respective life cycles. But where many of these systems fail is in the creation of content; especially when that content requires the use of highly regulated or standardized forms.
Methods for Creating Content
The OnBase ECM platform has multiple methods for creating content. Unity Forms and Document Composition are two examples. The trouble with these technologies is that you have limitations to the formatting of the output content. Unity Forms are great to allow users to enter the information that you need. But is not overly flexible in the design of the form, the formatting of the data, and ultimately the output of a document. Document Composition uses Microsoft Word to format and generate the output. But Word is constricted by a number of formatting limitations.
OnBase Image Form Composition
OnBase Image Form Composition allows you to capture data from users and processes via Unity Forms. You can then format the data on any imported image document. This gives you the ability to generate content in a variety of formats; even if you need to utilize regulated forms controlled by government entities or industry standards organizations.
