In mid-December, Mozilla will release Firefox 24 Extended Support Release (ESR). OnBase 13 SP2, which is scheduled to release on or around December 1, 2013, will support Firefox 24 ESR. Earlier versions of OnBase will not support Firefox 24 ESR.
Mozilla will be pushing Firefox 24 ESR through its automatic update to all users. It’s important to note that unless you have upgraded to OnBase 13 SP2 when this happens, users will not be able to access OnBase using the OnBase Web Client.
If you do not want to upgrade to OnBase 13 SP2, you should turn off the “auto-update” option on the client machine. In the event that you have not upgraded to OnBase 13 SP2 or turned off the “auto-update” option and Firefox 24 ESR does get installed, the user will receive a message stating that the browser being used to access OnBase is not supported.
